Questions before
bringing in your boat?
Here are answers to the questions I get most often about service, installations, scheduling and what I work on.
Service & installation FAQs.
I’m having an issue with my fish finder, trolling motor, or boat electronics. Can you help?+
I’m always happy to help when I can.
My first priority is supporting existing customers with equipment I’ve sold or installed and new installs.
If we haven't worked together before, you’re still welcome to reach out and leave me a message. Depending on my workload and the type of issue, I’ll let you know if it’s something I can help with.
Do you charge credit card fees?+
No. I don't charge additional fees for using a credit card. Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express are accepted.
When can I get the best deal on marine electronics?+
Manufacturers have fairly strict pricing policies and run sales on different products throughout the year. November and December are typically when the most deals are available. If you're looking for something specific, send me a text or email and I can keep you in the loop on deals.
What are your labor rates?+
I do my best to be transparent and provide a quote before performing any work. Completing your work efficiently is important to me. My tools and rigging supplies are mounted on custom stands so I can access them from inside your boat, and my narrow scope of services helps eliminate the inefficiency of constantly switching between different types of jobs, tools and workflows. My goal isn't to be the cheapest—it's to provide the best value through efficient work, quality installation, support and transparent pricing.
Do you install items purchased used or from another retailer?+
No. I do not install used equipment or equipment purchased from a third party. When I supply the equipment, I know what was ordered, can make sure it's right for the application, and have a much better path to support you if an issue comes up after installation.
I have problems with my outboard. Do you offer repair?+
I only offer basic maintenance services such as fluids, filters, spark plugs and winterization. I do not offer general outboard repair.
When are you open?+
I'm generally a weekday nine-to-fiver with an occasional night or weekend. If my pickup is parked out in front of the shop (black F150), you're welcome to stop in. My door is open Thursdays and Fridays from 8 AM to 5 PM during the summer months.
If you need a part, cable, mount, etc. the best thing to do is shoot me a text with what you need and I can arrange for pickup throughout the week.
What types of boats do you work on?+
Most fishing boats, including Deep V boats, bass boats, pontoons, multi-species boats, Snobear vehicles, and some utility and work boats.
How do I schedule service or an install?+
The preferred way is to submit a Service Request. It lets me gather information about your boat and the work you want completed before we get started. You can also call or text 701-335-6040 or email marty@deepvrigs.com.
When can I drop off or pick up my boat?+
Thursdays and Fridays between 8 AM and 5 PM. If it needs to be outside that timeframe, I can provide an access code and instructions to drop off or pick up your boat inside my shop.
Ready to upgrade your boat?
Tell me about your boat, what equipment is on it now and what you want to change.
